“The Oath of Honor” you swore,
long, shifts you bore.
The pay wasn’t enough,
the work was tough.
But you wanted to protect and to serve,
it wasn’t about what you deserved.
Integrity and Honor you gave,
with the lives you may have saved.
You gave all that you could give,
a life well lived.
Now to your reward you may go;
there is one thing more though,
watch over us from above,
shower us with love.
Let your death be not in vain,
on our towns, may peace now reign.
